180 ranch is a ranch located outside of Coos Bay, Oregon in Allegany. All though the place is an actual place on the Oregon Coast everything located in the town area is fictional.
180 Ranch is designed to be a place for troubled youth to go to. Its pretty much just one step below jail, except the food is nicer. Kids are sent here for doing things from fighting in school, or skipping to many classes to the harder stuff like stealing gang violence and stuff along that nature.
There is the rare moment when kids come in for being thrown out on the streets by their parents, and have no place to go to.
Even though there's structure in the programs kids are still able to sneak things like drugs and alcohol, and they are able to sneak out as long as they're able to make it back in time for morning meeting.
Just a warning though random piss tests happen.
