HISTORY:

Vivek was the leader of the Wind Falcon tribe, and it was expected of him to produce a family for the tribe. His brother introduced him to a woman named Chiye who swept him off his feet, and they had their first child, a boy they named Amri, within a year of meeting each other. It was at this time that Chiye revealed to Vivek that she was not, in fact, human, but a sylph, and that any children they would have would also be a sylph. But Vivek didn't care, he loved his wife and he loved his son.

Fours years later, they had a daughter. It was a difficult birth, and because both Chiye and the baby survived, they gave their daughter eleven names in thanks. From the beginning, Yuliya seemed a little off. She had trouble connecting with others and talking to people. She preferred to stay at home and play with her pets and spend time with the horses. Many times the tribe talked of abandoning this strange child, but her brother, Amri, was always the first to jump to her defenses. He said that if she was left behind, then he would leave too, and being one of the tribes very best fighters, no one wanted this to happen.

When Yuliya was three, Chiye suddenly disappeared without a trace. The whole tribe went out to search for her, but she was never found, and to this day no one knows what happened to her or even if she is still alive.

At the age of ten, Yuliya received her first real horse, a beautiful colt by the name of Arrow. She loved her colt and would spend the entire day with him, they would even sleep together. That is, until one day, she went riding on him far from camp and he was shot with a flaming arrow that caused him to tumble and fall over and trap her beneath him. As he died, Yuliya found she could hear his voice in her head. And later, when their dogs, Apollo and Luna finally found her, she found she could hear them too. She could talk to animals. But the event still haunts her.

Years later, at the age of fifteen, Yulyia found herself kidnapped by ruffians. It wasn't terribly exciting but it was a rather scary experience for her. They didn't do much but taunt her, and finally she was rescued by her brother. But when they went back to their temporary camp, they found the place empty. They had been abandoned.

Now she and her brother try to find a way to survive, and hope to eventually find their way back to their tribe.

PERSONALITY:

Yuliya has always been a bit odd. She finds talking to people a horrifying experience and prefers to spend time only with her family and her many pets. She is extremely shy, but has quite a temper if pushed to it. She does not take anyone trying to harm her family or her pets very lightly. She looks down on life as anything other than a barbarian, even though they are looked down upon by everyone else. She is thoughtful and intelligent, but she prefers to take a backseat to her hotheaded brother. She doesn't quite see the world as other people do, acting more like an animal than a person. She has never really had a friend, preferring to converse only with her brother.

FLAWS:

Shy/Social Anxiety:Yuliya finds it very hard to meet new people and to be able to communicate with them. She finds herself looking to the ground and for ways to end conversations early without even telling people her name

Autism and OCD:Yuliya finds is difficult to communicate with people to think, shall we say, in a straight line. She has obsessive compulsiveness about her and somewhat bizarre responses to things.

Unpredictable and Fiery Temper: Yuliya finds it very easy to detect insult to herself, even when none is intended at all. Once she finds something to throw a fit over, she will lash out most unkindly and hold it against that person for as long as she will remember, and believe me, she will remember for quite some time. Added onto this is something that didn't insult her one day will insult her the next, so you can never be sure when or when not she will take your simple joke as a wound on everything she holds dear.

Borderline Personality Disorder:This disorder causes Yuliya to make impulsive acts, have chaotic relationships, and a frantic effort to avoid real and imagined abandonment. She has an unstable mood and self-image and some self-harming tendancies, along with a chronic feeling of emptiness.

Distrusting:Under no circumstances does Yuliya trust anyone. She will NEVER put her life or the lives of those she holds dear in another person's hand. As such, she takes everything on herself even when she knows she cannot handle it because she believes that herself overworked is better than a person with nothing else to do any day. Even people she has known for years are not given the honor of holding her trust. It takes a person several encounters to even hear her give her true name.

Can't Express Her Feelings:Yuliya has absolutely no idea how to healthily express her feelings. When angry, she can take it out on herself or people she loves that has nothing to do with it. When disappointed she will harbor long-lasting resentment and use it later in the future. Even when happy she can find a way to express it wrongfully, by throwing herself into that happiness and forgetting everything else that she should be doing.

Proud: Though she would never admit it, Yuliya is an extremely proud creature. She hides this by saying that when she gets angry she takes it as an insult to her family, and although that may be the case, she also takes it as an insult to herself. She holds herself above all foreigners and believes that she is the only one who sees the true path of life.

Nervous/Paranoid:Due to her autism, Yuliya is extremely nervous, like a scared animal. It takes a lot to reassure her that it;s okay to be off her guard.

Prone to Jealousy:Yuliya can get jealous very easily. This springs from her being extremely competitive. She is very used to getting much of what she wants.

Claustrophobic: To put it simply, Yuliya cannot think straight when she is indoors. She is quite certain that solid walls and ceilings are out to get her and will kill her if they gets the chance. When in enclosed spaces, she is prone to screaming, attacking anything near her, ripping at the walls with her fingers, curling up into a ball, and almost seizure-like symptoms.

Obsessive:If Yuliya finds something that catches her fancy, whether it be a positive or negative feeling, she will not let it go until she has acted on it in some way. She will think about nothing else and let it control her whole being and give everything else important a back seat.

Nosy:If she finds something she needs to know, she NEEDS to know it and will not let go until it has been found out, even if it has nothing to do with her and she has been told she would be better off not knowing. She can't help but continue to poke and prod until she is sure that she knows every secret that has come across her.

Insomniac:Yuliya has never ever been able to sleep very well. she either can't fall asleep or she wakes up constantly. Sometimes taking pills and such helps, but only occasionally does it do anything.

Partial Hydrophobia/Fear of Seaweed:Yuliya is scared of water that goes over her waist, especially if she cannot see through it. When in this situation, she cannot think straight enough to swim to shore(Nor would she know how), she instead, quite frankly, freaks. This is doubled when she also sees seaweed in the water for she is certain that it will try to grab her and then pull her down.

Faint:By this, I mean Yuliya faints a lot. She has very low blood sugar and is rather sensitive to stressful or uncomfortable situations. Her small body can't handle it, so she faints quite a bit.

APPEARANCE:

Yuliya could very well be a ghost. The first thing you notice about her is her extreme lightness, from her almost sickly pale skin to her hair the color of flaxen gold. Her hair is very easily recognizable, for it is wavy and touches her waist, with just a little bit of fluffiness. She is slenderly built and just a little bit underweight, at ninety pounds, because she doesn't eat very much. From the same malnourishment she hasn't grown very tall either, at only five feet. She has lean muscles from horseback riding but isn't incredibly strong.

Her face is pretty much an upside down egg, with undistinguished cheekbones, a rather large and bit off-to-the-side nose, large, almond-shaped eyes, curved chin, and long, elegant neck. A widow's peak marks her foreheads and leads down to her eyes, which look grey to one passing by, but if you look close, they are actually pale green, and sometimes they can look teal or blue. She also has two wing-shaped birthmarks on her back.

FAMILY:

Yuliya is obviously closest with her brother. They are completely unseparable, tell each other everything, and always have each other's backs. Her relationship with her father is complicated, because she loves him completely yet he does not really support her. She never really knew her mother, she only remembers a few songs she used to sing. She's also a great fan of her uncle, who comes around every once in awhile, but she hates her grandmother.

SIGNIFICANTS:

Black Jewel – Yuliya's black Arabian mare, these two completely trust each other but Black Jewel isn't fond of very many people. She's what you'd call a “free spirit.”



Apollo – Yuliya's black guard dog, he's extremely protective



Luna – Yuliya's wolf-like dog, she's much mellower than Apollo, but her bite can pack a punch if you're not too careful



Streak – Yuliya's pet peregrine falcon. He is extremely loyal, having been raised by Yuliya.



Straykar – Yuliya's tachi sword

PLOTS:

I am open to everything. She keeps the fact that she can talk to animals a secret from everyone, including her brother, which could be interesting, and she's terribly bad at talking to people, and she has a nasty temper, so pretty much anything could work out
