The sun set on the horizon, over the salty sea and created a dazzling glow on the surface of the rippling water. The smell of salt hung in the humid air of the early summer and a wind rippled across from the sea to caress everything on shore with it's cool temperature.
Celestia was riding her horse slowly down the edge of the shore, at a steady walking pace so she could look at the shallows. She was looking for something in particular. She was dressed in a simple, soft red dress that hung just below her knee as well as short, leather riding boots. Her horse, Lylac, wore a simple leather saddle with several satchels harnessed onto it.
Celestia knew that these parts were supposed to be dangerous, but who would attack a healer. She didn't threaten anybody and she wasn't stealing anything either-so she wasn't the least bit worried. It was a beautiful place, how could anyone want to ruin it by being mean?
Celestia stopped her horse and dismounted, petting the side of her face softly as walked towards the waterline at the beach. She took off her boots and socks she she could walk in her bare feet and stepped into the water, wading carefully with a faint smile on her face at the relaxing, healing properties of the sea and the coldness on her feet.
She leaned her hand in the shallows and took a handful of some sort of a slimy, green plant. It was a type of seaweed she used in her medicines, also the purpose of her visit here. She took several handfuls and filled two entire satchels of it, making them a little moist at the bottom. No matter, she could clean them when she got home later.
After she had enough of the specific seaweed she was going to put her shoes back on, but she spotted a lovely conch shell sparking in the sand. She gave a curious smile and sat down beside it, picking it up and looking it over before putting it to her ear. She loved the sound of the ocean in the shell, it was so relaxing. She began to daydream she was on a boat in the ocean, sailing to unknown lands. She sat there for who knows how long with her eyes closed in thought and the conch held to her ear-as if it were producing the loveliest music ever heard.

Sunset. She was hoping to reach port Grimm by sunrise, not this late! Dani frustratedly carried on her way towards her destination. She had only a small bag on her back, her swords at her hips, and a map in her hands. The young woman wore a loose fitting shirt, dirt spots scattered across. She had on a pair of brown gloves, made from the hide of a cow. Her shoes were tattered and ripped, while she wore a pair of boy shorts. Not your typical female, clearly. She would often get rude remarks from men about her appearance.
Danielle would always come across this specific problem while traveling, one that would often leave her lost and confused. She could barely read the map. Her eye sight was bad, enough that she could see the blobs of the things around her, but she could not read. She had tried, many times, but to no avail. As she stared at the map, Danielle continued to walk in frustration. Maps were completely useless to her. In her eyes, the paper was just a group of finely blended colours, as if the paper was simply stained with tea.
Her idea, was if she followed the water's edge, she would eventually reach it. Go to a shop, stack up on supplies, go to the mountains. That was her plan. Now it seemed she would have to spend the night in an inn. Or worse, out in the open. Danielle was used to camping, but it was not safe. And besides, this area seemed eerie. She did not like it.
Giving up, she folded the map and stuffed it into her bag. She stretched her tired arms, which she then crossed and continued to walk. A thought slowly came to her, though. For all Danielle knew, she could be going the wrong way. She gave off an exasperated sigh. Now what?
She blinked, spotting someone in the near distance. But, she could not tell if they seemed friendly or hostile. It was worth a shot.
The young woman made her way over slowly and quietly, as not to disrupt the person from what they were doing. What WERE they doing? She squinted her eyes, but did not know what was in the other person's hand. Heck, she didn't even know if the person was a boy or a girl.
"Excuse me," Danielle began when she was finally in ear shot. She cleared her throat, standing a nice distance away as to try and not seem like a threat. "What's that you're holding?"

Celestia saw her and her eyes brightened. She always enjoyed meeting new people and she seemed nice. She held the shell out and said, "It's a conch shell! It comes from the ocean and it makes pretty sounds when you put it to your ear." She bounced over to the girl in the silly shirt and pants, she held the conch shell out to her in a friendly gesture.
The girl seemed to be a little lost, or dazed. She was squinting and holding a map. She gave a little frown and pointed to her map and tilted her head a little. "Oh, my? Are you lost? It's getting awfully dark and there isn't a town for miles!" she said sadly. It could be dangerous out in the woods alone. It was dark and scary and there were vampires and... werewolves. The thought made Celestia shiver.

(( It's fine that it's short, no worries! By the way, two questions- one, how do you do that at the bottom of your post with the notes, lyrics, and credits? And two, how do you make the text all centered? ))
Danielle looked the conch up and down. She could distinguish it better now. And, now she at least knew that the person in front of her was female, by her feminine voice. She seemed to be friendly, as well.
Not to mention pretty. In her boy clothes, Danielle must have looked like a complete wreck. Boy clothes with dirt, she probably looked like either a helpless runaway, or a criminal.
"I'm, uhm...I suppose I am sort of lost. I can't read maps well," she wasn't about to admit about her sight. It was something everyone saw as a weakness. Danielle just learned how to deal with it, and try and make the best of it. There wasn't really an upside to it. Maybe better hearing, but she wouldn't be able to tell if that was because she was bad in her sight, or because she was a werewolf.
"I was hoping the harbor would show up eventually if I followed the beach. I suppose it would just take a while, is all," Danielle grinned with a shrug. It seemed like a basic idea. But when it was so far away, it would take her werewolf form to get anywhere in time. It wasn't a full moon yet.
"I am heading the right way though, right? I need to pack up more supplies, for traveling and such," Danielle bit her lip slightly, looking past the girl in front of her at the area stretched out before them.
It seemed like such a distance, and if what the girl said was true it was hardly likely she would be getting anywhere tonight. Maybe tomorrow, or the day after. But surely at dark she would have to camp here. Her supplies low, not knowing the area. She did not know the dangers.
