HISTORY:

As the eldest child and only daughter of the Chief, Keelin had always had a strong sense of authority, trying to replicate her mothers attitude of caring a air of grace and self-confidence that could still a room of fighting just by walking through them. Keelin was taught to read and write, and to play the lyre as they were to be expected of a princess.

She even assisted in looking after her younger brother Cernunnos from when he was young by telling him stories and playing the lyre for him when he couldn't sleep. Keelin didn't pay as much attention to their other four brothers, but she loved them all equally.

Keelin was sixteen when her father was assassinated. Screaming for her father, Keelin was pulled back by her mother and together they gathered up the sons and snuck them out. It was the hardest thing that Keelin ever had to do - saying farewell to her brothers. Keelin and her mother fled as fast and as far as they could, but when the older woman could no longer fly she pushed her daughter away and told her to keep going. Fighting back tears Keelin did as she was told and ran - stealing a horse when her wings were too exhausted.

A bow had been attached to the saddle of that horse, which Keelin took and used it to hunt for food, choosing not to light fires so that she could stay hidden, sheltering in caves at night. She did not know whether she was still being followed or not.

Keelin decided that she would not return to civilization, but would rather continue to live in the wild, hunting for food and sleeping wherever she pleased - it seemed like a safer idea.

Keelin has since set the horse free, since her wings have recovered and hunts for her meals. Whenever she needs money she will sell her spoils of hunts to travelers, or trading them for wares that she may require. This has been her life for nine years now. The exiled princess now feels that it is safe enough to resurface and find her brothers.

PERSONALITY:

Fierce is one word that can be applied to Keelin in a very strong sense of the word. And it can be applied in many ways. Keelin is a fierce fighter, a fierce warrior and if it were to ever happen, a fierce lover. Keelin is ambitious and highly focused on finding her scattered family members, it is the main thing on her mind - reclaiming the throne comes second to that. But aside from her fierce nature, Keelin is very caring - she would never walk away from someone in trouble, and loves her family to no end.

FLAWS:

* Quick temper

* Sarcastic - this is something that happens when Keelin doesn't think before she opens her mouth... and her sarcasm can often be a little harsh

* Stubborn - Keelin is as stubborn as an old mule. When sets her mind to something, it can be very hard to budge her from it

* Klutz - she is constantly tripping over her own feet or bumping into corners

* Hates the rain - Keelin absolutely hates the rain... right down to it possibly being called a fear. She hates getting wet, especially her black and white feathered wings

* Aside from being highly intelligent (reading, writing, hunting, playing music), Keelin has a severe problem with having Schizophrenia. It makes her appear awkward in social settings where she appears to be talking to walls, or having a conversation with herself, when in her mind she see's someone talking to her, or just hears a voice telling her to do something. Keelin thinks that it's just another aspect of her powers - the spirits guiding her - she really she's just an oddball.

APPEARANCE:

Keelin is tall and slender and carries an air about her that screams self-confidence. With youthful looks that are common amongst the banshee's, Keelin has a delicate look about her, as if she were weak... but she has a strong commanding presence about her. She has a straight scar on her side from where a arrow grazed her side but other than that she is mostly unmarked. Because of her exiled lifestyle Keelin has taken to wearing dark colours, mostly blacks. Her common outfit is a white blouse under a black vest with black breeches, boots and a heavy black cloak over the top. When she does not want to draw attention to herself she draws the cloak over her head so that it shades her face.

The eldest of six children, Keelin is perhaps one of the most determined to be reunited with her younger siblings and restore her family to the throne. The were happy together when her father, the King, sat on the throne. But she is starting to forget the faces of her brothers... praying that she will find them before she forgets entirely.

SIGNIFICANTS:

She carries a longbow that she keeps in a quiver of arrows strapped across her back. The bow has a red grip with the arrows having red flights (fletches).


Keelin also has a pet Harpy Eagle that she calls Ári which simply means "eagle".

OTHER:

Like most banshee's she is psychic, being able to predict events before they happen. But she is limited to the fact that she cannot read the minds of other beings. Mostly she uses her magical gift to predict where an animal will move to so that she will never miss a shot.... but that doesn't always work. Sometimes her predictions aren't quite accurate.
